Shippy Meme: Captain Princess Edition
I'm working on a Cabin Pressure fic and it's the first time writing Martin and Theresa together, so I thought I'd do the old tumblr ship memes to help me hack their relationship out a bit.

Questions:
big spoon/little spoon:
favorite non-sexual activity:
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue:
who uses all the hot water:
most trivial thing they fight over:
who cooks normally?:
who kissed who first?:
who does most of the cleaning:
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working:
who remembers anniversaries:
How often do they fight?
What do they do when they’re away from each other?
Nicknames for each other?
Who is more likely to pay for dinner?
Who steals the covers at night?
What would they get each other for gifts?
Who swears more?
What would they do if the other one was hurt?
Who started the relationship?
Toughest decision they've made?

Captain Martin Crieff & Princess Theresa of Liechtenstein.

big spoon/little spoon: Martin sleeps very still on his back, Theresa sleeps very much flung over him.
favorite non-sexual activity: Duxford Air Museum. Martin never gets tired of it, and Theresa never gets tired of him not getting tired of it.
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Martin has neither, and Theresa watches very bizarre Liechtensteiner shows, which Martin gamely tries to enjoy, but can't because they are in German and Theresa forgets to translate when she gets involved. He's working on his German. It's not going well.
who uses all the hot water: Neither. Martin shares with students, and takes short showers so as not to use up the water for the rest of them. Theresa has five sisters, a mother, and Maxi, plus staff; not even a royal palace has enough hot water to support that. They both take very quick showers. Sometimes together, if Martin can stop blushing long enough.
most trivial thing they fight over: How high a heel Theresa should be wearing. Martin doesn't mind that she's taller than him, but feels she doesn't need to be quite so much taller than him.
who cooks normally?: Theresa is actually quite a good cook, if not very experienced. Martin is experienced, but not very good. They cook together, or order-in.
who kissed who first?: Martin went for it first, and timed it wrong and hit her ear. She worked out what was going on, and gave him the best kiss he'd ever had quite promptly.
who does most of the cleaning: Martin. Theresa has people for that.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Theresa. Her name gets things done on her country, and even in his country, she's more authortative.
who remembers anniversaries: Martin has a good memory for details. Theresa tends to accept his word.
How often do they fight?: Not very often. When Martin gets into his 'Captain Crieff' mode, she teases him until he's too flustered to be angry anymore, and if Theresa gets into her 'Dragon Slayer' mode, he gets panicked and flustered and gives in.
What do they do when they’re away from each other?: They have a very long distance relationship, so they both get on with their lives. Theresa flies to meet him in various places he's flying to, and he tries to get over to Vaduz if it's near where he is. They also Skype a lot.
Nicknames for each other?: Theresa calls him Captain whenever possible, to tease him, and he wasn't paying much attention one time and absently called her Captain back, which she found hilarious, so he sometimes calls her Captain or Captain Princess, when he's being silly.
Who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Theresa. She claims to get discounts wherever they go, and so should pay, which Martin knows is a lie, but he appreciates her not making him feel embarassed about it.
Who steals the covers at night?: Neither. They tend to wrap themselves in a cocoon, but together so that they have trouble getting out of it in the morning. The first time Martin braved bringing her back to the attic, his bed was so small that this resulted in them ending up on the floor, much to Theresa's amusement.
What would they get each other for gifts?: Martin is very easy to shop for--he likes aeroplanes. Martin does his best, and usually goes for something small and cheap, but meaningful.
Who swears more?: A Captain should not swear. Neither should a princess, but she does anyway. Quite a lot, really.
What would they do if the other one was hurt?: Fly to get to them, if possible. Martin would panic. A lot. Theresa would be more calm about it, and take charge of his care.
Who started the relationship?: Martin thinks he did. Theresa knows she did.
Toughest decision they've made?: Whether to take the Swiss Air job. Theresa is the one person Martin told about it, since he couldn't tell MJN, and she was a factor in his decision. She refused to be anything but netural, even if she wouldn't have minded him being closer to her.

Yes! To all but the last. (I think he should take the job, and I hope he does.)

Me too. I think he should take the job as well. But I don't think Theresa would make him take the job, and I think he would need to confide in someone to talk it out, even if that person just agrees with all the points he's making.

I wish he'd tell the others, because I think any of Carolyn, Arthur, or Douglas would help him. They know what it would mean for him. And they do all have other things they can do.

Brilliant Husband says the next episode will obviously be "Zurich."

Yes, I know they'd tell him to take it, and I imagine that's why he doesn't want to tell them. He doesn't want to leave them in the lurch, and they're the first people who believed in him, I can see why he would want to be loyal.

John Finnemore's confirmed it, basically, and definitely confirmed it as the last, unfortunately. One more , 45 minute special, and then we're done. :-(

I'm not surprised; the cast has too many other things going to get together with any regularity. And the characters have changed and grown, which fails to happen in many series. They can't stay together forever, and I'd like to see them go out on a high note.

Of course, they're also world travelers, so I expect they'll have reunions from time to time (if only in our heads and our fanfics).

I'm happy to see it end before it should end, rather than after it should have ended. I think it's told a full story, or will do once it's over, and if don't think I'll feel cheated. The British seem to like their reunion specials, so it doesn't seem unlikely we might end a Christmas special here and there if we're lucky.

And I'm excited to see what John comes up with next.
